Information on compliance with the Accessibility Act

Heavyteam-Spezialtransport GmbH endeavors to implement its website in accordance with the Accessibility Act, in order to meet the requirements of the European Accessibility Directive (Directive 2019/882) regarding accessibility requirements.

In doing so, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1 were followed as far as possible.
This accessibility statement applies to the website jobs.heavyteam.com

Status of compatibility with the requirements

This website is partially compatible with conformance level AA of the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1 and the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V2.1.2 (2018-08) due to the following incompatibilities and exceptions.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:

a) Incompatibility with accessibility regulations
  • Images:
Alternative text is missing for some non-decorative images in the content, meaning this information is not accessible to screen reader users. This means that WCAG success criterion 1.1.1 (Non-text Content) is not met.
  • Videos (pre-recorded captions):
Videos are integrated via external hosting providers (YouTube, Vimeo). Captions are missing for some pre-recorded videos, meaning the spoken content is not available to deaf users. Thus, WCAG success criterion 1.2.2 (Captions (Prerecorded)) is not met. We will endeavor to provide captions when producing new videos.
  • PDF and other office documents:
Many PDF documents and office documents are not accessible. For example, PDF documents are not tagged, meaning they cannot be captured and used, or can only be used insufficiently, by screen reader users. This means that WCAG success criterion 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value) is not met. In the case of non-accessible PDF or office documents, it is possible to receive support. In such cases, please contact us so that we can provide the content in a suitable manner as far as possible.
b) Disproportionate burden
  • Videos (pre-recorded audio description):
We are unable to provide the required audio descriptions for the videos. This means that WCAG success criterion 1.2.5 (Audio Description (Prerecorded)) is not met. We believe that remediation would constitute a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations.
  • PDF and other office documents:
For economic and organizational reasons, it is not yet possible to make older PDF documents and office documents (etc.) accessible.
c) The content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legislation
  • Live videos are not captioned. This means that WCAG success criterion 1.2.4 (Captions (Live)) is not met. Live videos are exempt from Directive (EU) 2016/2102. There are no plans to caption live videos.
  • The website contains third-party documents and content as well as links to external websites and embedded tools that are neither developed, financed, nor controlled by us. No statement can be made regarding the compatibility of this third-party content with accessibility regulations, which is why it is exempt from the requirements of the Accessibility Act. As this content is outside our area of responsibility, we have no influence on its accessibility.
